The original thirteen men found alive

When our search began in August 2014 for the 189 men whose names were written on the flag we were uncertain if we would find any alive, fortunately we found 13 men alive.  Below is a list of those thirteen with the town that was listed on the flag and their birth and death date, if they have passed since the beginning of our search.
